Yucatan

The Mexican state of Yucatán is well-known for its Mayan ruins and beautiful Gulf of Mexico coastline. The renowned Chichén Itzá site features a monumental pyramid, ball court, and temples carved from stone. Uxmal is known for its intricately carved facades, and other Mayan monuments like Ek Balam are renowned for their sculptures that have survived to the present day. Mérida, the capital and largest city of Yucatán, features architecture dating back to the Spanish colonial era.
