Querétaro

The state of Querétaro is located in the middle of Mexico. The historic district of the city, Santiago de Querétaro, is characterized by plazas with fountains and stone streets adorned with bougainvillea. Churches like the ochre San Francisco and the baroque Santa Rosa de Viterbo are only two examples of the city's abundance of Spanish colonial architecture. Los Arcos, a remarkable aqueduct made of 74 arches of pink stone, stands out among the other attractions.
