The coast of the Riviera Nayarit has several beaches ideal for surfing in its various levels and styles. Among the best spots, we can mention is The Cove & El Faro in Punta de Mita, it has high tide and is shallow at low tide. The bottom is sandy with rocks. The normal length is 50 to 150m. There are good waves near the end of the point in Banderas Bay.

El Anclote, right breaking swell. Excellent for beginners. It has soft, slow and long waves, the waves measure less than 1.5 meters. It usually has a low tide. The waves are right breaking. The bottom is coral with sharp rocks. The normal length is 50 to 150m.

La Lancha, many waves have a right break but there are some with a left. It is best at the incoming tide. At low tide it is shallow. It is recommended to be careful with corals and sharp rocks. The normal length is 150 to 300m.

Punta Burros is one of the favorite places of the destination. High tide is best for any board. The wave break to the left is more pronounced and pulls a little, the right break is longer and smoother. The bottom is flat with rocks. The normal length is 50 to 150 meters. The waves are consistent, ideal for beginners, and a good place to have fun.

Las Albercas has a fast-breaking wave right. The beach has an excellent point break with a great amplitude perfect for making a "cannon". The bottom has coral and sharp rocks. This place is for experienced surfers.

La Caleta is a deep water point that has a perfect left break. Matanchen Bay, known for having the longest and most manageable waves in the world, offers a long right-hand break over a sandy bottom and loose rocks.

Las Rocas, the breaks are more frequent and offer a wonderful right-hand break with several tunnels.

Lolas, north of San Blas, the waves present a long left break and unforgettable tunnels. The bottom has corals and sharp rocks. The length is 50 to 150m. It is a little-visited place, close to the jungle, and has surf lessons.

Sayulita, with good waves that arrive with force. The wave break is mostly right-handed. Just off the main beach, there is a steady swell, ideal for beginners and longboarders. Los Veneros, or Dinosaurios, is a classic spot with a long right-hand break. The waves are excellent for short boards.
