In the digital age, Mexico has emerged as one of the top five countries in the world in terms of social-digital network usage. This widespread adoption raises concerns, as it signifies a significant shift in how people access information, moving away from traditional media such as newspapers, radio, and books. According to a study conducted by Luis Ángel Hurtado Razo, an academic at UNAM's Faculty of Political and Social Sciences, Mexicans spend approximately six hours daily on these platforms for entertainment, a substantial amount of their day.

Of all the social networks, Facebook takes the crown in Mexico, commanding an impressive three to four hours of daily usage per individual. This unprecedented level of engagement surpasses even television's viewership ratings, highlighting the immense popularity of these platforms in the country.
