Veronica better known as Lupita was the mother of a month-old baby, was murdered by her husband in a bloodthirsty way in San José del Vidrio.

Veronica, a student at the UNAM, was beaten and stabbed to death by her husband in the municipality of Nicolás Romero, now the aggressor will spend more than 50 years in prison.

Veronica, a UNAM student, and mother of a month-old baby were murdered in San José el Vidrio by her husband who was identified as Luis "N" in a bloody manner, the State Attorney's Office found him guilty and ordered him a sentence of 55 years in prison.

The events happened on July 6, the body of Veronica, better known as Lupita, was found 400 meters (0.2 miles) from her house, on a dirt road. The first versions indicated that she died from injuries of being stoned but when reviewing under her clothes, the police could tell that she had 17 stabs and her breasts were destroyed.

According to the investigations Veronica had argued with Luis "N" before the man stabbed her, hit her on the head with a construction block, cut her throat, left her body in front of her house, and later fled.

Lupita was studying a degree in Diagnostic Biochemistry at the Faculty of Higher Studies at UNAM and was the mother of a baby for months.

The people of San José del Vidrio were fond of Lupita, her family and acquaintances described her as a sweet, cheerful person, and she was very loved in her town.

The aggressor was arrested on July 12, 2017, a year and a half of the atrocious murder the State Attorney of the State of Mexico has found guilty, sentenced him to 55 years in prison, and will have to pay a fine for compensation of damage.
