During the weekend and this Monday, hundreds of fish appeared on the shores of Nuevo Vallarta's beaches; apparently a red tide effect and the abrupt temperature changes caused them to come out of the sea.

Until Monday morning, fish of between 15 to more than 30 centimeters were found on the shore of Villa Varadero beach in Nuevo Vallarta, which were devoured by the birds and which surprised a group of national and foreign tourists who were in the area.

During Saturday and Sunday, lifeguards from the Secretariat of Citizen Protection and Firefighters of Nayarit buried more than 500 fish that were removed from the shores of the beaches, in order to discard any source of infection.

According to specialists and biologists of the agency, this is a phenomenon attributed to currents, changes in water temperature and other conditions that are still under investigation.
