According to the local police report, a tourist was shot in the head this Sunday afternoon when he was eating at a seafood restaurant located at the edge of the beach, on Mazatlan's boardwalk.

The incident took place at 4:00 pm at a restaurant located on the beach parallel to Avenida del Mar, near Colonia Ferrocarrilera and close to the Monumento al Pescador (Fisherman's Monument) in Mazatlan.

It appears that an armed man arrived at the victim's table and shot him, however, the roar of the bullets was mitigated by the band music that was playing two tables away from the victim.

At the moment it is known that the victim was a well-known dentist and medical businessman in Torreon, Coahuila, approximately 50 years of age.

Two other men were wounded in the attack but left on their own to go to the hospital in private vehicles.

It is not known if these people were related to the deceased.
