A tourist dies after falling from a balcony in Cancun
A tourist died in Cancun after falling from the fifth floor of the hotel Tucancun. The police are determining if it was an accident.
The first death of a tourist this year occurred this Thursday in Cancun, after falling from the fifth floor of the Tucancun hotel at 13.5 Kukulcan Boulevard. The police reported that it was a national tourist and are determining whether it was an accident.
Upon realizing what had happened, the hotel employees called the emergency services, who determined that the victim still had vital signs. He was resurrected and taken to a hospital, where he unfortunately died.
The Ministerial Police of the Specialized Homicide Investigation Unit investigates the case to establish if the facts were due to an accident or if it is a criminal case.
Other types of incidents have caused the death of tourists, among them the serious accident registered in February on the Merida - Cancun highway, kilometer 242, due to the overturning of an ADO bus transporting tourists. The last report from the authorities stated that eight people lost their lives and about 15 people were injured.
