This aquarium will have in its facilities a room dedicated to Jacques Cousteau, a renowned French oceanographer who positioned the Gulf of California as The Aquarium of the World. The construction will be located on Bahia Street, within the geographic center of the urban area of the city, facing the sea, with communication and infrastructure that supports the start of the Mazatlan Central Park project.
The Aquarium of the Sea of Cortés is projected to be one of the 10 largest in the world, with a capacity of 10 thousand visitors in high season (the current has a capacity for 5 thousand), and maybe available within the next 5 years.
