Now that it became a trend in social networks the Tlayudas that were for sale at the Felipe Angeles International Airport (AIFA), recently inaugurated on Monday, March 21 by the President of Mexico, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador (AMLO), and that caused controversy, we tell you some restaurants in the Metropolitan Zone of Guadalajara where they sell Tlayudas.

Mi Oax Restaurant

People who are originally from the state of Oaxaca have endorsed the typical seasoning of this restaurant that has been in existence for two years. It is located in La Venta del Astillero, in Zapopan, at 23 Francisco Montejano Palacios Street, where tlayudas are the main dish. And so that the Oaxacan flavor stays longer on your palate, they recommend eating them with the typical meats: cecina enchilada and Oaxacan chorizo.

You can also order them with meats such as steak, adobada, chorizo, arrachera and campechana (steak with chorizo or arrachera with chorizo). In the special tlayuda you can mix different proteins for a unique seasoning. The costs of the tlayudas, which have a diameter of 35 centimeters, range from 70 to 125 pesos. They also offer dishes such as mole de olla, burritos, empanadas, lonches, and daily lunch.

Rincón Oaxaqueño "Las Tlayudas"

This restaurant, also Oaxacan, has tlayudas of different flavors with typical meats such as tasajo, cecina and chorizo, diameter of 35 centimeters; they are located at 5990 López Mateos Avenue, Bugambilias, in Zapopan. The most popular tlayudas here are those made with Oaxacan meats. This type of tlayuda is called tochomorocho and costs 145 pesos. There are also fresh cheese, green and red sauce, quesillo, cabbage and black mole.

La Estancia Traditional Cuisine

The owners are originally from the community of San Dionisio Ocotepec, Oaxaca, and have been in the city for a couple of years, but the pandemic had delayed the dream of their typical restaurant. They are located at Plazuela Isla Milos 3196, Jardines de la Cruz I section, in Guadalajara. At the moment they have tlayudas of steak and chorizo, campechana of both, later they plan to add meats from Oaxaca. They also have the simple tlayuda with a black bean base, quesillo, avocado, tomato, guacamole, salsa and onion strips with habanero and radish.
