Three clients shot inside a nightclub in Playa del Carmen

During the early morning of Wednesday morning, violence persisted in the streets of the municipality of Solidaridad, as three people who were inside the Olimpus Bar were shot by unknown persons.

During the early morning of Wednesday morning, violence persisted in the streets of the municipality of Solidaridad, as three people who were inside the Olimpus Bar were shot by unknown persons. Around 1:00 a.m. on March 16, three people who were inside a nightclub in the Ejido neighborhood were attacked by gunmen.

After the report to the 911 emergency number, paramedics arrived to check the subjects who were only wounded and were apparently out of danger.  Immediately elements of the municipal police arrived to cordon off the area, due to this part of Juarez Avenue between 65th and 70th Street was closed for the corresponding diligence.

So far the motives of the attack are unknown, among the speculations are a warning to the bar or directly an attack against the victims. The Attorney General's Office of the State of Quintana Roo (FGE) has already taken action and is investigating who is responsible for the attack. A more detailed version of the facts will be released at a later date since during the early hours of the morning they will be gathering evidence.

Two dismembered bodies were found in the El Pedregal neighborhood

On Tuesday afternoon, the discovery of black bags with human remains was reported to the emergency number and mobilized the State Police to the El Pedregal neighborhood, around 12:15 p.m., where it was confirmed that it was the body of a dismembered person, in the municipality of Solidaridad. Upon arrival, the police elements confirmed the presence of several black bags, where threads of blood were coming out and had the shape of a person, which were on 60 North Street.
