Rosalinda González Valencia, wife of Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, El Mencho, leader of the Jalisco Cartel - New Generation (CJNG), was arrested by members of the Army and the Attorney General's Office in Zapopan, Jalisco. The woman was captured in coordination with the National Intelligence Center (CNI), as a result of an arrest warrant for various crimes, and according to the evidence, she is linked to the illicit financial operation of an organized crime group.

The arrest represents a significant blow to the financial structure of organized crime in the state of Jalisco, authorities said. Rosalinda González Valencia was placed at the disposal of the competent judicial authorities at the Federal Center for Social Readaptation No. 16 "CPS Femenil Morelos" in Coatlán del Río, Morelos. The capo's wife had already been arrested in May 2018, based on an arrest warrant for her alleged responsibility in the crimes of organized crime to commit the crime of money laundering.

She was even held in the same penitentiary center while her legal situation was being resolved and obtained a suspension so as not to remain incommunicado; however, when she appeared before a control judge she had to be released for lack of elements. Her brother Abigael Gonzalez Valencia, leader of Los Cuinis, is identified by authorities as the second in command of the CJNG and financial operator, who was captured on March 28, 2015, in Puerto Vallarta. However, El Cuini, who is facing extradition proceedings, is now a cooperating witness for the Attorney General's Office in the case of the 43 Ayotzinapa students.

Her son and at least two of her brothers are imprisoned. She is married to a man for whom the then-Attorney General's Office offered a 2 million peso reward in 2018, and who has triggered levels of violence in the country, set Jalisco on fire, and is one of the most wanted enemies of the United States.  Such is the life of Rosalinda González Valencia, wife of Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes. The woman was arrested in 2018 in a residential area of Zapopan, Jalisco. She was later transferred by helicopter to the Subprocuraduría Especializada en Investigación de Delincuencia Organizada, in Mexico City.

González Valencia was accused of managing the economic and legal resources of the Jalisco Cartel - New Generation and had an arrest warrant for the crimes of organized crime to commit the crime of operations with resources of illicit origin, informed the then Secretary of the Interior, Alfonso Navarrete Prida.

Following Abigael's arrest in 2015, the federal government targeted his brothers, all of whom were allegedly members of the Los Cuinis group and included Elvis, Edgar, Mauricio, Arnulfo, Ulises, Gerardo, Jose and Luis Angel Gonzalez Valencia. In addition to Ivette, María Elena, Érika, Berenice, Noemí, Marisa, Abigaíl and Rosalinda González Valencia, as well as Estela Valencia Farías, all of them allegedly led by José María González Valencia, El Chema, reports Milenio.

Rosalinda is a housewife, has no contact with El Mencho, alleges her lawyer

Rosalinda González Valencia was allegedly arbitrarily detained in Zapopan, Jalisco, obtains resources legally and has no contact with her husband Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes "El Mencho", alleged her lawyer Víctor Francisco Beltrán García. In an interview with journalist Azucena Uresti, the defender of the wife of the leader of the Jalisco Cartel - New Generation (CJNG) spoke about the state of mind of the currently detained woman, about her daily life and even warned that legal action will be taken against those who have publicly accused the family of El Mencho of being the intellectual authors of the deprivation of freedom of two agents of the Secretary of the Navy.

Beltrán García, who in past years also advocated for the freedom of El Menchito, now imprisoned in the United States, said that he has already gone physically to the facilities of Cefereso No. 16, in the state of Morelos, to meet with his defendant, who he said: "is well, she is calm". However, he pointed out that Rosalinda "N" is "upset by how the authorities carried out the detention: in an arbitrary manner, with bad words, with rudeness".

According to the lawyer of Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes' wife, "she was traveling with her grandchildren and her daughter-in-law. Her grandchildren were subdued by these negligent authorities, children!.... They pushed the children down and subdued them with their weapons.... this is not the way!", claims the lawyer. Regarding the crime of operations with resources of illicit origin of which Rosalinda "N" has been accused since 2018, the lawyer pointed out that currently his client is living legally and there is no more crime to prosecute than the simple fact that she failed to sign her signature before the authorities as ordered by a judge since she regained her freedom three years ago.

"She is a housewife, she had an autobahn in Puerto Vallarta and that's where her income came from? She has had no contact with her husband for many years... Strangely, the arrest warrant for the lady is again released for crimes of operations with resources of illicit origin because from the same records it is noticed that the Public Prosecutor's Office was omissive (in 2018) in accusing of operations with resources of illicit origin and the judge cannot go beyond the pretensions of the Public Prosecutor's Office... at this moment the lady should not even have an arrest warrant", explained the lawyer.

For Rosalinda "N" to regain her freedom within the next four months, according to the estimates of the defense, video recordings are already being requested both from the authorities who carried out the recapture and from the toy store where the arrest took place, to demonstrate that the arrest took place in inappropriate conditions. It should be recalled that the recapture of González Valencia took place around 7:30 p.m. on Monday, November 15, just when El Mencho's wife was waiting in the parking lot for her daughter-in-law and grandchildren, who were shopping inside the store located around the intersection of Patria and Guadalupe avenues, in the municipality of Zapopan.

Approximately four hours later, the disappearance of two agents of the Secretariat of the Navy (SEMAR) was reported, also in the vicinity of the municipality of Zapopan, a crime that was attributed to Laisha Michelle Oseguera González, daughter of Rosalinda and "El Mencho", and her husband, Christian Fernando Gutiérrez Ochoa.

In this regard, the attorney for the Oseguera Gonzalez family said that legal action will be taken against whoever made such an accusation. "The name and surname of two citizens who are unrelated to the facts for which they are being publicly considered since there is not even an impartial, formal, objective, serious, transparent investigation, which would have had the legal basis for such statement... There is no congruent link between that event with the false accusation that was made public (to be the intellectual authors of the disappearance of the two SEMAR agents)... the above will have a legal, real and formal reaction on the part of this defense," he warned.

Regarding the unofficial versions that have circulated about the alleged capture of Arnulfo and Ulises, two of Rosalinda González Valencia's 16 siblings who presumably belong to another criminal group called Los Cuinis, the lawyer said he did not know. This capture was made inside the residential area Virreyes de Zapopan as a result of the strong operations that SEMAR and SEDENA implemented by air and land during Monday night and yesterday afternoon in different residential areas of Zapopan.

The arrest of Rosalinda González Valencia, wife of Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes 'El Mencho', was ordered and executed by federal agencies. She is the target of an investigation in which she is associated with crimes related to money laundering for the Jalisco Cartel - New Generation. Her surprise recapture took place after she failed to comply with her probation, after not showing up to comply with her regular biweekly signature before the courts.

It was recalled that the woman paid a bail of 1.5 million pesos to get out of jail three years ago, but now it will be requested to hold her as a flight risk. And although her investigation is federal, the Jalisco Attorney General's Office mentioned the status of the wife of 'El Mencho' and whether there are investigation files against her. Prosecutor Gerardo Octavio Solis himself mentioned that Rosalinda has no pending criminal charges. Nor is she related to the murder of former governor Aristoteles Sandoval Diaz, which occurred in Puerto Vallarta almost a year ago.

"Nor do I remember her being linked to the murder of the former governor". González Valencia is being held in the Federal Center for Social Readaptation No. 16 "CPS Femenil Morelos" in Coatlán del Río, Morelos. The woman, originally from Michoacán, together with her 15 brothers, forms the so-called 'Cartel de los Cuinis'. This group has been identified by Mexican and US authorities as responsible for financing her partner's criminal operations.

The ten men and six women of the Gonzalez Valencia family are allegedly heirs to founding members of the Valencia or Milenio Cartel. The U.S. Treasury Department has accused her and her sisters María Elena, Érika, Berenice, María Ivette, and Noemí of being responsible for drug trafficking into the United States.
