The Ecuadorian Renato Ibarra denied what he did through his official Twitter account, although in less than 24 hours he was arrested and taken to the Public Prosecutor's Office.

A year has passed since the unfortunate event that led Renato Ibarra against his partner, Lucely Chalá. The 30-year-old Ecuadorian attacker, who at the time played for the Águilas del América, was arrested by the authorities on charges of domestic violence.

Renato Ibarra was detained for a week, but the situation did not escalate because Chalá dropped the charges after reaching an economic agreement with the player and his entourage.

Subsequently, the player was released, and his stay with the Coapa team could not be exempt from the off-field problems, a situation that led him to be transferred to Rojinegros del Atlas on a one-year loan.

Since then, questions about Renato's possible return to América have not ceased, since the player's contract expires in 2023, but the 'Azulcrema' institution has made it clear on different occasions that in order to represent the team it is necessary to be an example on and off the field.
