With the upcoming opening of offices in Mexico City, the professional social network LinkedIn wants to strengthen its presence in the region. Mexico is one of the 10 most important markets for the network globally. "In recent years, we have experienced significant growth in our teams dedicated to the Mexican market and our local customer base, so it is a key time to take this step," said Milton Beck, LinkedIn's senior director for Latin America.
Regarding the type of operations that the company plans to carry out in this space, the executive explained that they will work on approaching clients and promoting new talent.
"The plan is to open the office on July 1, 2020, as the official launch day, but we will have a prior launch. We will start with the positions for Talent Solutions, with which we hope that by the end of 2020 there will be 30 people working in the office," he said.
More jobs for Mexicans
With this announcement, LinkedIn joins technology companies such as Google, Facebook, Twitter, Uber, which have offices in Mexico City. The executive said that with this decision they also seek to be generators of employment for Mexicans. We hope to have 30 people by December from 2020″, he concluded.
