Is Putin's strategy reminiscent of World War II and Hitler?

Putin is now being compared by many to Hitler. Does what is happening in Ukraine resemble the Second World War and the Nazi invasion of Russia?

We are talking about a war aimed at putting pressure on the political leadership of Ukraine to continue negotiations and to make concessions to the political demands of Russia in these negotiations.

The whole project of restoring the Russian Empire is based on the idea of the unity of the three Slavic peoples, and this is the reason why Putin and the Russian army are largely limited in their ability to wage war against civilian populations. They cannot operate on enemy soil if they dream of building the Russian Empire with these people in the future. The Russian army will refrain from such steps for as long as it can.
