Guadalajara has four of the five neighborhoods with the most crimes registered in the Metropolitan Area.

The five neighborhoods with the most crimes in the Guadalajara Metropolitan Area are Zona Centro, Americana, Oblatos, Ladrón de Guevara in Guadalajara and in fifth place is Chulavista in Tlajomulco.

According to information from the Jalisco State Prosecutor's Office, the 5 neighborhoods where most crimes are committed in the Guadalajara Metropolitan Area are the Zona Centro, the Americana, and Oblatos, Ladrón de Guevara in Guadalajara, and fifth place is Chulavista in Tlajomulco.

The three most common crimes in these neighborhoods are a robbery of a person, robbery of a business, and robbery of private vehicles, topping the list in the first square of the capital of Jalisco with 1,533 crimes in 2021 and the first quarter of 2022, where robbery to person tops the list with 663.

However, there are differences in terms of crimes by neighborhood, for example, in the Zona Centro, the most recurrent crimes are robbery to person, in second place robbery to business with 222, and in third place robbery to private vehicles with 204.

La Americana, the second neighborhood with the most crimes in the Metropolitan Zone of Guadalajara, has as its first crime problem robbery to a person with 169 cases, robbery of private vehicles with 141, and the third-place changes to the theft of auto parts with 130. The total number of crimes registered in the same period was 660.

The third most conflictive neighborhood is Oblatos with 522 open investigation files, where one hundred and eleven are for robbery to person, 102 for robbery to businesses, and robbery to private vehicles with 88, in this area, family violence is very close to the third place with 87 complaints.

The Ladrón de Guevara neighborhood, also in Guadalajara, is in fourth place with 498 cases, of which one hundred eighty-one are for theft from private vehicles, 69 for theft of auto parts, and 65 for theft from businesses.

Finally, in fifth place is Chulavista in Tlajomulco with 443 complaints, here the crimes are modified, since 111 are for robbery to persons, in second place is domestic violence with 103 and in third place are intentional injuries with seventy-seven.

Chulavista registers the highest number of homicides in 2021 and the first quarter of 2022 with 27, Hacienda de Santa Fe, and Lomas del Mirador also in Tlajomulco are in second place with 21, along with Miravalle and the Miguel Hidalgo neighborhood in Guadalajara with the same number of murders.

The municipalities that are considered part of the Guadalajara Metropolitan Area are Guadalajara, Zapopan, Tonalá, Tlaquepaque, Tlajomulco, El Salto, Ixtlahuacán de los Membrillos, Juanacatlán and Zapotlanejo.
