Masai Mara Safari

The Guadalajara Zoo is a must at any time of the year because, in addition to being a reference for family recreation, it is one of the most important in the country and has under its custody 280 hectares of the ecological reserve in the Barranca de Huentitán.  Do not miss the Masai Mara Safari, to get in touch with the most representative animals of the African savannah and learn, through a Masai village, part of the culture of this community. The Michin Aquarium offers visitors the sensation of being submerged in different aquatic ecosystems and appreciating the beauty of marine nature. There are five pavilions named after pre-Hispanic cultures, depending on the region: Wixarika, Maya, Mixtec, Konkaak, and Olmeca. In its crystalline walls, you can observe different species such as catsharks, bull sharks, black tips, and stingrays, you will find snakes, anacondas, jellyfish, otters, sea lizards, goldfish, and seahorses.

For those who are looking to learn and have fun, the best thing to do is to visit the Trompo Mágico Museum in Zapopán. Through its rooms, children can participate, in a family environment, in different activities for all ages, while acquiring new knowledge in its workshops, permanent and temporary exhibitions, or cultural activities. In the main pavilion, children can learn about science through experiments, tactile and visual materials; explore their artistic skills; simulate professions and domestic activities, among many other experiences.

Fun and excitement without limits

A recommendation for adventurous children is the Selva Magica amusement park, considered the largest in western Mexico. Here you will find attractions for all ages, from Sesame Street-themed, rides for the little ones; attractions for the whole family such as go-karts, the classic carousel or bumper cars; to extreme games, hanging bridges, and free-fall experiences for adrenaline lovers.

Sweet experience

To close with a sweet moment, visit the recently inaugurated Mundo de la Rosa ("World of the Rose"), a themed store created by the tapatía company De la Rosa for children and adults to enjoy and delight themselves with the candies that, for generations, have marked the childhood of Mexicans. The place is a party of colors, shapes, and all the candies of the brand you can imagine, such as the classic Marzipan or the delicious Pulparindo. Undoubtedly, visiting the World of the Rose will fill the little ones with excitement, and adults will remember their childhood with the taste of the most endearing Mexican sweets.

In the Magical Town of Tlaquepaque, you will find Nuestros Dulces ("Our Sweets"), with an impressive variety of traditional and handmade Mexican sweets. The best thing is that you can visit the workshop where they make all their delicacies and the kids will be able to make, with the help of experts, traditional sweets from scratch and with natural ingredients.
