The economic crisis since 2020 as a consequence of the Covid-19 pandemic, the insecurity that generates extortion and threats, as well as the lack of sources of employment due to the closing of companies and businesses, has caused that in these first three months of the year, the number of residences for sale in the three tourist areas that make up this beach destination has increased considerably.

In the port, it is not only the owners of small hotels who have placed real estate ads for sale through real estate agencies but also houses that are considered residences located in the tourist area and the area of Acapulco Tradicional.

According to the owners of these properties that have lost their capital gains, the area of Acapulco Tradicional is where the economic crisis has suffered the most due to the Coronavirus pandemic, in addition to the insecurity which is also another factor, for which many have decided to put their houses or apartments up for sale to look for another opportunity to live in another city in the country.

Only in the area of Acapulco Tradicional, from Quebrada Street to Adolfo López Mateos, Caletilla, and closed Bellavista, located a few meters from Caleta beach, there are more than 15 residences that have placed ads for the sale of the property with phone numbers for any information required about the cost and the state in which the property is located.

In addition to these residences for sale, in this area of the port, there are also hotels, apartments, land, and even commercial properties that, for more than a year and a half, have been closed due to the financial crisis in which their owners find themselves, as well as due to insecurity problems, which is also a fundamental factor for Acapulqueños to decide to leave the city.

According to the real estate companies that are in charge of the sale of the residences, these have lower costs than what the owners originally paid when they built them, with all the services required, such as swimming pools, service yards, and in some cases, even large gardens.

Since 2020, the pandemic and the insecurity generates from extortions to kidnapping threats, have caused a considerable increase in the number of properties for sale in the port of Acapulco.
