Goodbye DF hello CDMX. The city is no longer called "Distrito Federal". Some years ago the city became one more State of the Republic of the United States of Mexico, and its name is Mexico City or Ciudad de Mexico, frequently referred to as CDMX.

The Marathon will be held on Sunday, August 25 and will have a new route. The exit will be on Avenida Insurgentes Sur, at the height of the Olympic Stadium and the Rector's Tower of the UNAM, and will have its arrival at the most distinctive place in the capital, that is, the Plaza de la Constitución (Zócalo).

The 41st LGBT Pride March in Mexico City is approaching, and as is customary the pride parade will be held on a Saturday in June; this 2019 on Saturday, June 29.

Mexico City, although it is not an area especially affected by drug trafficking and organized crime, presents a level of citizen insecurity that must be taken into account, so it is advisable to be particularly vigilant. Not all neighborhoods in the city have the same security problems.
