Xiaomi expands its stores in Latin America
The Chinese technology company Xiaomi concentrates on three stores in Mexico, with 20 more to open this year; two in Colombia, two in Panama, one in Uruguay, and one in Chile, but with six more to open during 2019.

The recent opening of its first Mi Store in Santiago, accompanied by the launch of three smartphones, including the Mi9, reinforces a global strategy that bets on Latin America as a key market.

The irruption of Xiaomi in the global market of smartphones and other technological products marked a new point of interest in the industry. Founded nine years ago, it has already established itself as the fourth-largest smartphone brand in the world and has established the largest consumer IoT platform, with more than 132 million devices.

Thus, the expansion of the company is also having its ramification in Latin America with the opening of new stores, known worldwide as Mi Store, and the expansion of its range of mobiles and products.

The last opening took place in Santiago de Chile at the Apumanque shopping center, the first Mi Store in the country, which accompanied the launch of three smartphones that have boosted the company this year: the Redmi 7 and its Note 7 version, together with the Mi 9.
