The annual expenditure of LGBT tourism exceeds USD 218,000 million. The segment moves more than 3% of the volume of tourists worldwide and represents 15% of the total sales of the sector.
According to Almundo.com, the boom in gay tourism in recent years has been reflected a large extent in various beaches. Madrid, Paris, and London stand out among the main international destinations for the Pride celebrations in the months of July and August; and in Mexico, Mexico City, Quintana Roo and Jalisco are the destinations with the highest demand, which are certified by the International Gay and Lesbian Travel Association.
In Latin America, gays and lesbians without children travel 3.4 times more than their heterosexual partners and have greater spending on stays and gastronomy.
