The meeting of the Council was held in Manchester before the World Championship of the specialty that will begin next Wednesday, and there the president of World Taekwondo, Chungwon Choue, said that they are delighted to be associated with Cancun and Manchester to organize the future events of the Taekwondo World Grand Prix.

"Mexico and the United Kingdom are two great taekwondo nations and we have an excellent experience working with them to offer fantastic events for our athletes and fans. We have no doubt that the Grand Prix of 2020, 2021 and 2023 will not be different," said a statement.

Mexico has already organized a competition of this kind and it was in 2015, an event where the places for the Olympic Games of Rio de Janeiro 2016 were finally designated.
