Woman dies while picking oranges in Mérida

According to local media, a woman died unexpectedly while picking oranges at the entrance of her house. The woman identified as Pilar, 88, suffered a heart attack that caused her death.

The woman collected oranges from a tree at the entrance of her home, however, she began to feel bad and fell to the floor, the neighbors who passed by the place watched as the woman vanished, so they ran to help her and notified her children of the lady who live in the area of ​​Merida.

After the incident, help was requested to the emergency numbers, after a few minutes agents from the Public Safety Secretariat arrived as well as paramedics from the Red Cross, who tried to help the woman, however, they could not do anything for her, more than confirming the death.

It was the son of the woman, Miguel A.E.B of 60 years who identified the body, after the neighbors informed him what had happened in downtown Mérida.

In the place was reported that the cause of death was due to a heart attack, however it was also indicated that the now deceased had diabetes and high blood pressure.
