Paramount+ arrives in Mexico on Claro Video

Viacom International Media Networks Americas (VIMNA) announced that OTT Paramount+ will be available in Mexico from August 8th with Claro Video.

Viacom International Media Networks Americas (VIMNA) announced that OTT Paramount+ will be available in Mexico from August 8th with Claro Video. The platform was recently launched in Latin America, where it is already available through the Brazilian operator Net, in addition to other international markets such as Denmark, Finland, Hungary, Norway, Poland, and Sweden.

Claro Video users will be able to contract Paramount+ for a monthly subscription of USD 4, which can be covered by their Telcel, Telmex / Telenor bill, or credit cards, and they will be able to enjoy the platform's contents free of charge during the first seven days.

"We are happy with the arrival in Mexico of Paramount+ and its extensive offer of content for the whole family, which arrives exclusively with Claro Video. We are confident that this partnership will allow us to expand our scale in the Mexican market and significantly expand Paramount+'s presence with the thousands of Claro users in the country," said Laura Perez, VP of Affiliate Sales and Content Distribution for VIMNA.

Claro Video also spoke about the arrival of the OTT in Mexico through Alberto Islas, General Director, who indicated that Paramount+ "joins our content offer, complementing the wide entertainment catalog that Claro Video offers to its users in Mexico. The attractive features of this service will now be available by contracting in a very simple way to view them on our platform, where we are sure that consumers will have a great experience.

OTT's multi-content offering includes the third season of The Handmaid's Tale series (the first two will also be available), as well as a catalog of more than 2,000 episodes and 150 multi-genre films. Highlights include episodes of international MTV, Comedy Central, and Paramount Channel shows such as Acapulco Shore, Jersey Shore and Are You The One? in their Latin American, Brazilian, and UK versions; Just Tattoo Of Us, Latin American stand-up comedy episodes, and more.

Also included are animated programs, live-action series, and Latin American shows by Nickelodeon such as SpongeBob, Las Tortugas Ninja, Los padrinos mágicos, Hey Arnold, Yo soy Frankie and others.
