Tourism programs for foreign residents
A total of 2 thousand 500 foreigners residing in the city, are served through the municipal direction of Economy and Tourism with the generation of inclusive projects according to their customs, announced the head of the address Luis Hernández Hernández.
The official explained that the Japanese community continues in the first place with more than 1,500 members, the largest Japanese community in the country, just below Mexico City.
"We will continue to support, motivate, so that all foreigners who live in Irapuato begin to find is a social integration with the community," he said.
Irapuato has a registry of communities with Japanese, Germans, Americans, Spaniards, Argentines and Koreans, and programs have been designed to facilitate their social integration, highlighting, the Romería de la Raza, which integrates all the cultures that converge in the municipality.
Hernández Hernández highlighted the importance of the Japanese community in strawberry fields, remembering that Irapuato was the chosen municipality for the installation of the third Japanese School in Mexico, with a little over a thousand of the approximately 2,500 that are estimated to reside in Guanajuato .
