The Surf Open League, the first of its kind in Mexico, wishes to bring together the best athletes of this spectacular water sport.

The Surf Open League will start its activities on Mexican beaches and in which they expect the participation of outstanding exponents, such as the Mexican Jhony Corzo and Carlos "Coco" Nogales.

At a press conference in an exclusive boutique hotel in the Polanco area of ​​Mexico City, the Surf Open League was presented, the first of its kind in Mexico and which wishes to bring together the best athletes of this spectacular water sport.

Gustavo Duccini, director of the Surf Open League, explained that the goal in 2019 is to promote this sport among the Mexican population and to generate environmental awareness and preservation of nature, especially on the beautiful beaches of the country.

The first event will be held on May 30 in Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, the so-called "Big Wave International", while the second from June 12 to 14 in Acapulco, Guerrero, the "Vans Open Princess".

The third step of this new surf league will continue from 27 to 29 September in Ixtapa, Zihuatanejo, the "Surf Open Cup" and the fourth from October 18 to 20 in Bahias de Huatulco, the "Vans Surf Open".

The 2019 Surf Open League will close its first circuit in Mexico from November 22 to 24 with the "Surf Sayulita Open" in Nayarit, and with which they hope to fulfill the goal of promoting and spreading this spectacular sport on the waves of the sea.

During the five events will promote the environmental culture and care for the beaches with garbage collection, in a cleaning task in more than 30 thousand meters of beach on the Mexican coast, in what will be a true ecological experience for visitors.

Along with sports competitions, there will be music festivals with live groups and with the participation of various DJs to attract children and young people, as well as the teaching of surf clinics for beginners, especially for minors.

In the conference were Mexican surfers Jhony Corzo, world champion in 2017, and the "Aztec" benchmark of this sport for several years now, Carlos "Coco" Nogales, who will be the ambassadors of this new league, and Gustavo Duccini, director of the circuit.
