State officials ensure security in tourist events in Acapulco
To ensure that violent acts such as shootings and killings do not affect the tourist events, the head of the Ministry of Tourism in Guerrero, Ernesto Rodríguez Escalona, announced that there will be special security operations in Acapulco and will begin with the Open Mexican Tennis.
Interviewed before holding an advance meeting in preparation for the 44th edition of the Tourism Tianguis of Mexico, the state official lamented the rebound of violence in the tourist zone, but assured that Governor Hector Astudillo Flores is doing everything within his reach to decrease crime rates.
Rodriguez Escalona insisted that security is guaranteed for all the events that take place in Acapulco, such as the Mex Tennis, the Mining and Bankers Congress, as well as the Tourism Tianguis of Mexico to be held in April.
He pointed out that to improve security, the governor heads the analysis tables together with representatives of the Armed Forces and police corporations, with whom in coordination they work to reduce crime.

During a private evaluation meeting led by the state governor and the director of the Tourism Promotion Council of Mexico (CPTM), Glenda Argüelles Rodríguez, it was announced that the President of the Republic, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, confirmed the event.
Less than two months before the edition 44 of the Tourism Tianguis of Mexico, the organization of the event has an advance of 80% and so far more than 120 national and international buyers have confirmed their attendance to the event to be held in the port of Acapulco.

The stands will be installed in the convention center and will receive wholesalers and buyers from more than 15 countries around the world. The 32 entities of the country will be present and have already paid their pavilion that will be installed within the Forum Mundo Imperial.
Also, the tourism secretary confirmed that more than 40 corporate buyers have already secured their space in the event, among them, are the companies Aeromexico and American Express, among others of great renown internationally.
During his participation in the event, the governor, Hector Astudillo Flores, asked the organizers to redouble their efforts to ensure that this edition of the tianguis exceeds that of last year that was held in Mazatlan, Sinaloa and may be the best in the history of this event that was born in Acapulco.
