Disneyland opens the doors of the Star Wars world with Galaxy's Edge
Fans of the Star Wars saga will enjoy a new space dedicated to the world of 'Star Wars' starting this May 31, at Disneyland Park in Anaheim, California (USA). The 'Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge' will transport the visitor to the remote planet of Batuu, on the border of the wild space, the unexplored region beyond all known star systems.
What until now could only be seen on the big screen, has become a reality in a large space of five hectares where you can participate in a first-person adventure. A unique experience that will make visitors really feel in a parallel galaxy.
The park represents the city of Black Spire Outpost, a place full of smugglers, merchants, bounty hunters and adventurers, and among its streets will wander beings from other planets, androids and humans. To interact with them you must use the Play Disney Parks mobile application that will translate the Galactic languages, allow you to receive notifications, and swear allegiance to the Resistance or to the First Order.
Along the way, some familiar faces will appear, such as King, Chewbacca or even Supreme Leader Kylo Ren and his Stormtroopers.
Its two main attractions are: 'Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run', the reproduction of the most famous ship in the galaxy that will be piloted by travelers assuming one of three roles: pilots, gunners and engineers, and the story will pass according to the decisions that are taken in each moment.
And the 'Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance' that will open at the end of the year, an immersive attraction that takes guests, through a shuttle, to the battle between the First Order and the Resistance, including a confrontation with Kylo Ren.
Not only the attractions transport the traveler to a fantastic world, the setting of their establishments makes the adventure complete, from the canteen of Oga in which to taste native drinks and curious concoctions; passing by the Ronto Roasters restaurant named for the great herd of Tatooine animals; the blue milk and green milk drinks stand; until the Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo, a food freighter full of fresh supplies inside a hangar.
For the little ones, there is a workshop where they can build their own lightsaber, and another in which to create android assembling pieces, in addition to various stores in which to acquire clothes and toys related to the saga.
To end the day a fireworks show will illuminate the star sky.
