Sita announces change to boost business in Mexico and Central America

The international telecommunications provider for companies in the aeronautical industry, Sita, appointed Uriel Torres as general director of Corporate and Commercial Relations for Mexico and Central America.

With more than 25 years of experience in the air transport industry, Uriel will be in charge of offering integrated solutions that facilitate the creation of synergies between airports, airlines, governments and industry influencers, and thus strengthen the company's competitive positioning, according to a statement.

His participation with Sita has stood out for having promoted the strategic design of master plans of Information Technologies with several clients in Latin America and for leading the competence center of the Asian Pacific in Australia, prior to that, he has assumed positions of high managerial level at Thales and other technology and security companies in Mexico.

With this operation, it is intended to consolidate the development of the business in said territory, extending to some sites in the Caribbean due to the recent expansion of Mexican airport groups to Jamaica and Puerto Rico mainly; also the Dominican Republic and Curaçao within reach of this new managerial function.

Uriel has a degree in Electronics Engineering from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá and a degree in Business Administration from the Sergio Arboleda University in Colombia. He has a Masters in Business from the University of Miami.
