SEIDO agent rescued after being kidnapped in Playa del Carmen
Last Saturday an agent of the Deputy Attorney General for Organized Crime Investigation (SEIDO) was kidnapped at a bar in Playa del Carmen.
After the strong police mobilization by the three levels of government last Monday, January 28, where they searched and secured a bar in Playa del Carmen, it was learned that the real reason for the search was because last Saturday in that bar was kidnapped a member of the Deputy Attorney Specialized Investigation of Organized Crime (SEIDO).
According to the first investigations, the operative was in the bar "Pura Vida", on 12th Street, between 10th and Fifth Avenue, in which the Criminal Investigation Agency (AIC), dependent of the General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic (FGR), in reaction of the agent of the SEIDO was lifted and taken to said bar.
Preliminarily, the federal agents carried out research work, arrived from Mexico City, but was discovered and "picked/up" last Saturday; However, he did not go alone, so his partner asked for support, managing to rescue him inside this bar.
Based on the statements of these people, the FGR obtained an order from a judge to search this bar; the diligence that took six hours and in which allegedly were seized several doses of narcotics.
It was also learned that during the operation, they detained three people allegedly male, who were already transferred to Mexico City, for the different investigations and to solve the case.
