Civil Protection (PC) said they maintain monitoring of the weather forecast to alert the population in time. Rainfall will increase even with thunderstorms, so it is important to take precautions, especially in rural areas.

Although the population has been informed by Civil Protection about the risks of building in flood zones, the problem dates back many years and despite the warnings, they are still building.

According to the most recent weather forecast, for this week there will be intense rains with electric discharges, winds and possible hailstorms in Veracruz, Tabasco, Oaxaca and Chiapas; very strong in Tamaulipas, Puebla, and Guerrero; There are strong winds in Chihuahua, Sinaloa, Durango, Nayarit, Jalisco, Colima, Michoacán, Estado de México, Morelos and Campeche; rain showers in Sonora, Nuevo León, San Luis Potosí, Mexico City, Tlaxcala, Yucatán and Quintana Roo, as well as isolated in Baja California Sur, Coahuila, Zacatecas, Aguascalientes, Guanajuato, Hidalgo and Querétaro.

The conditions described will be generated by Tropical Wave Number 39, which will cover Oaxaca, a low-pressure channel extended in the northwest, west and central Mexico and three areas of instability with probability for cyclonic development, located in the Pacific Ocean.
