Pemex subsidiary carried out purchase of pipes for more than 86 million dollars


The company called III Servicios S.A. de C.V acquired the 612 pipes under specifications established by Pemex Logística.

By offering the report on the purchase of the 600 pipes purchased to meet the shortage of fuel in the country, once the national plan against fuel theft was launched, the government of the Republic revealed that it was a subsidiary of Petróleos Mexicanos the one that carried out the purchase of the units for more than 86 million dollars.

In the document provided to the media, it is specified that the company named III Servicios S.A. of C.V acquired the 612 pipes "under the technical specifications established by Pemex Logística and that will be operated by the Ministry of National Defense".

It was also specified that the Pemex subsidiary, III Servicios S.A. of CV, is "regulated under private law, ie the Law of Acquisitions of the Federal Public Administration does not apply" and it was under this regime that it signed the contracts "with the selected manufacturers, with the units and definitive delivery dates" .

According to the federal government report, the signing of the contracts concluded on February 13, 2019, and began on January 16.

As of April 22, 2019, the acquisition resulted in 612 self-tanners with a capacity equivalent to 134.5 thousand barrels per day and for an amount of 86.4 million dollars without VAT "added the information provided.

It was said that the acquired units have, on average, greater capacity, from 30,000 to 60,000 liters than those that Pemex acquired in past administrations, from 20,000 to 40,000 liters.

It should be remembered that the purchasing process was supervised by the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Public Administration, the Secretary of Foreign Affairs and the Senior Official of the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit.
