After several years away from Mexican soccer, Mazatlán FC made official the incorporation of Mexican defender Oswaldo Alanís, who will be available to Beñat San José for the Clausura 2022. Alanís did not find a place with Chivas, who was the owner of his contract, and now he will wear the purple shirt of the Cañoneros, taking on a big challenge for him, as it is his return to a Liga MX team.

After his time with San Jose of the MLS, the 32-year-old center-back and former national team player said he was very happy to return to his homeland. "I'm very happy for this opportunity, to join a club that has been doing good things and that's why we've come to give our all and for Mazatlán to have very good things," he explained.

Oswaldo also recognized the work that is being done in the purple team, and that it will be a nice experience to be part of this team.

"It is a new challenge to return and what better with a club that is starting and sees the positive things, but happy to return with your people, after several years of being away and return to do things, I have spoken well of the structure of the team and to give everything to give good things".

As a player, Alanís has been a champion in Mexican soccer, with Santos Laguna and Chivas, in addition to winning a Gold Cup with the Mexican National Team, having a great experience as a center back.
