The agency Moody's reiterates its doubts about the impact that the construction of the Dos Bocas refinery will have on Pemex

The Moody's rating agency considered the calculations by the Mexican government for the construction of the Dos Bocas refinery under Pemex's responsibility, after declaring the tender for the project void.

"When the news became known that the international construction firms that participated in the tender of the Dos Bocas de Pemex refinery, consider that this project will cost more than eight billion dollars and will take more than three years, validating our concern around that the estimates of the Mexican government were optimistic, "said Pemex analyst at Moody's Investor Service, Peter Speer.

The agency has reiterated its doubts about the impact that the construction of the refinery will have on Pemex, given the high degree of indebtedness it currently suffers and the need for it to require constant financial support from the government.
