The stars of Breaking Bad launch the mezcal of "Jesse" and "Walter"
Actors Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul have been immortalized by being the protagonists of one of the best series in history, playing Walter White/Heisenberg and Jesse Pinkman respectively in Breaking Bad.
Throughout the series, we saw two businesses that were highly profitable. Now the two "cooks" are back in action but with something more legal.
The two actors on different occasions have referred to and winked at the film in the series, as well as having a taste for Mexican culture that was born out of certain themes developed in the series.
Although the relationship between the characters they played within the series was very turbulent, in real life the two actors get along very well, to such an extent that they have just completed a new project that involves a millenarian Mexican drink: El Mezcal.
The two actors traveled to the state of Oaxaca last year, without giving any real clues as to whether it was a tourist, business or film location visit... until today, it was revealed that they went to concretize the project of their new line of Mezcal Dos Hombres.
Through his Instagram account, actor Bryan Cranston gave all the information about the brand, from how the idea was born to how they selected the place for the harvest to take place, then we shared the translated text:
"Three years ago we sat at a sushi bar in New York. We were talking about life and the possibility of going on a journey together. We had the best time of our lives recording Breaking Bad and we really built a special bond. Knowing we couldn't share the screen for a while, our thoughts turned to a new project.
We drank our cocktails and thought about what project it would be. Then Aaron looked at his drink and said, 'You know what we should do? We should make a very special mezcal. The oldest said, 'You mean a drink with a worm in the background? Nah, that's a shitty trick, I mean real mezcal, handmade in Mexico.
After that dinner, we couldn't get the idea out of our heads. So we started traveling to Oaxaca to see if we could find (the ideal mezcal) and we really wanted it to be 'THAT', something so good that even people who didn't like mezcal liked it. It had to be perfect or else we wouldn't do it.
We searched from top to bottom all over Oaxaca, we met amazing people and after a wonderful and exhausting search, we found what we thought was the place. Our mezcal was going to grow on a dirt road, in a small village, hours from downtown Oaxaca. When we got there what we found was perfect. My God was perfect. We looked at each other and simply accepted each other. That's it.
We named it Two Men, two men on a mission. It's been a long and crazy journey and we couldn't be happier to share this with you and the rest of the world. We are crazy about the taste, aroma, and versatility of this ancient alcohol. Try it, and let us know what you think. We are sure you will love it.
The village is located in San Luis del Rio, Oaxaca, in a place they claim to be the most ideal for agave harvesting.
Where can you get it?
If you want to taste the mezcal produced by Heisenberg and Jesse Pinkman, you must go to the Four Season restaurant in Mexico City, as it will be the only physical outlet for the drink; in the United States, it will be available in some selected restaurants, bars, and shops in California and New York.
And as we are in the era of E-commerce, mezcal can also be delivered to your home. The initial cost is 58 dollars, which would mean approximately $1,100.00 pesos ... to that amount must be added shipping and taxes, so the final price could be between $1,500.00 and $1,600.00 Mexican pesos.

We searched high and low all over Oaxaca, met incredible people along the way and after a beautiful yet grueling search throughout that majestic landscape we believed we may have found our place.
