Mexico increases its participation in CES Las Vegas

At least 30 Mexican companies, 10 more than last year, meet at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the most important technology event in the world, where they seek to establish business with entrepreneurs of different nationalities.

"This is a great day for Mexico because for the second year it has a pavilion at the CES of Las Vegas, Mexican companies related to technology are exposing their services to market or show them to the world," said Luis Aarón Jiménez, president of Industrial Cluster 4.0, who leads these companies.
"This is a great day for Mexico because for the second year it has a pavilion at the CES of Las Vegas, Mexican companies related to technology are exposing their services to market or show them to the world," said Luis Aarón Jiménez, president of Industrial Cluster 4.0, who leads these companies.

In an interview with Notimex, he commented that the idea of bringing this pavilion was born in Jalisco, where the challenge of bringing 20 companies was launched at the beginning of last year and the correct way was proposed to do it through a cluster related to industry 4.0 .

"In 2018 Cluster 4.0 was born and our project was to bring 20 companies to CES 2018, it was a success and now this year we have a floor of 4,500 square feet, 30 percent more than last year and we have 30 companies exhibiting in this pavilion, "he declared.

He added that through this pavilion seeks to publicize that Mexican technology companies can develop technology related to industry 4.0, which has to do with an innovative way of manufacturing, where processes are digitized and smart factories are born.

"For example, where robots and humans coexist and complement each other through Artificial Intelligence, companies related to the Internet of Things, robotics, cloud computing, cybersecurity, virtual and augmented reality, Blockchain and others participate," he explained.

He explained that with this participation they are making the name of Mexico present in such an important event as CES, so they are at the center of the event, the area where innovation is, the companies of new technologies.

He argued that to bring Mexican companies to Las Vegas was done through private financing and state authorities. In the selection process of the call, they took into account that they had evidence of commercialization, relationship with industry 4.0 and international marketing potential.

"We want to invite the new federal government to join the effort of what we are doing in this technological system in innovation in Jalisco, because we see that technology is a tool for Mexican companies to adopt this technology of industry 4.0 and develop" , he considered.

"What we are doing in the cluster is to promote the digital transmission of Mexico where we understand that transformation as the reinvention of companies with the use and exploitation of technologies to find new ways of doing business, be more competitive and support the country, "he said.

The president of Industrial Cluster 4.0 also stressed that they seek to make this technology segment an important player for the transformation of Mexico, making companies more competitive.

The CES, which will conclude next Friday, is the largest and most influential technological event in the world, where the entire technological ecosystem meets to conduct business, launch products, create brands and partner to solve some of the most pressing social challenges of today.
