Mexico City turns to 'Roma'
The film 'Roma' has become the most important success in the history of Mexican cinema. Alfonso Cuarón has caused an international commotion and his work is nominated in ten categories to the Oscar 2019 Awards.
With excellent participation of Cuarón in the script, editing, production, photography, and direction, the film reached levels never before seen in Mexican production. With an excellent cast of debutantes actors, as well as experts in the sector, 'Roma' arises in the good part of the autobiography of its creator.
It is a recreation of the seventies, of the experiences that its creator had in his childhood in one of the most important colonies of the Mexican capital. Since the release of this film to date, the film has gone through several international acclaims. Several rooms have witnessed the impact of their scenes and their themes.
It should be noted that in the digital field led by Netflix, this was the platform that gave the tape a greater diffusion, reaches, and projection.
The society in Mexico City is happy. It is perceived an atmosphere of taste and joy to know that the film of Cuarón aims to stand out and be the center of attention in the 91st. edition of the Oscar Awards.
Among the different sectors in which I have the opportunity to develop, I had the opportunity to listen to various perceptions about this film. Thus, students and professors of a university and basic education, officials of the legislative and political sphere, declare that it is indeed an excellent film.
A close friend, Gustavo Sánchez, told me a few days ago, "I've seen the movie three times and I would see it once again". And so several people comment on it. They have left with a good taste in their mouths.
People have liked the film, the general consensus is one of satisfaction, not so much because of the nominations, but because life is valued and rescues in Mexico City. The theme is important, family values arise, are highlighted in this work, that is important.
I think it's good that Mexican society stops to comment, taste and reflect a film that rescues many of the secrets that our city keeps in its history and especially in its present.
Now, a large part of the public is looking forward to February 24 of this year, to see how many of those nominations come true. Good for Alfonso Cuarón, putting the name of Mexico on high.
