The plant of the Japanese assembly plant Mazda in the city of Salamanca, Guanajuato, achieved the production of one million units. It is worth mentioning that this factory located in Mexico is the largest outside of Japan.

The president and CEO of Mazda de Mexico, Chiharu Mizutani, said that reaching the production of one million units in the Salamanca plant represents more than a number, "it is the commitment to offer a quality product that meets the highest expectations of customers.

He also described it as gratifying to collaborate in the social and economic development of the state of Guanajuato and "we will continue on this path, adding to the success story that is Guanajuato, a million thanks".

For his part, Mazda's President and CEO, Akira Marumoto, said that the company, which celebrated 100 years of operations last January, currently has a presence in 130 countries, and since the opening of the plant in Guanajuato it has had more coverage in the local market, North America and Europe.

In addition, he acknowledged the support he has received from the state government to develop this company, which has added to the growth of this entity. "Guanajuato and Salamanca are home for Mazda," he said in a statement.

Finally, it should be noted that, according to the report, Mazda has invested in Guanajuato 785 million dollars that today generate 5,300 jobs.
