Mayan city discovered on the border between Mexico and Guatemala

The research was conducted in conjunction with the Mayan Cultural and Natural Heritage Foundation (PACUNAM) with private capital from Guatemala and foreigners.

Among the uncovered spaces are more than 60 thousand structures such as houses, palaces, terraces, ceremonial centers, fortresses, roads, and other human settlements. All under the greenery of the jungle belonging to the Maya Biosphere Reserve, an area protected by having a large number of settlements of this culture.
