GP Mexico is nominated for Leaders Sports Awards

Awards are given to sporting events that generate the best experience for attendees and activities regarding the event.

The Grand Prix of Mexico, which has been part of the current Formula 1 calendar for four years, was nominated for the Leaders Sports Awards 2019 in the category of Best Live Experience. This recognition highlights the work of companies, events, and characters that aim to innovate day by day to enrich the experience of fans.

The Mexican Grand Prix highlighted that in the Live Experience category, "live sporting events that raise the bar for organizers around the world are rewarded: the best experience for attendees, the highest level of hospitality or unprecedented immersed activities.

The general director of the Formula 1 Grand Prix of Mexico, Federico González Compeán, valued the nomination as a sign that the event that takes place at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez guarantees the satisfaction of the spectator beyond the results that are written on the track.

"We are very proud of what we have achieved these four years with the Grand Prix of Mexico, we have been named for four consecutive years as Best Event of the Year (Formula 1) while showing the best that our country has to the world.

He added: "We are honored to receive this nomination to the Leaders Sports Awards, because the Grand Prix of Mexico is an example of innovation, perseverance and that in Mexico things are done with excellent quality and care.

The awards ceremony will be held on October 9 at the Natural History Museum in London, as part of Leaders Week London. Days before Mexico City hosts the Mexico GP for the fifth consecutive year.

The top motorsport category motorsport event hosted by the Hermanos Rodríguez will compete for the award in London against other relevant events such as US Open 2018, Drone Racing League at BMW Welt, Pool Deck at the Gabba Stadium, and Overwatch League Grand Finals.
