Latin America's 50 Best Restaurants 2019 will be awarded in Buenos Aires

The seventh annual list of Latin America's 50 Best Restaurants will be announced on Thursday, October 10 at Usina del Arte, in the city of Buenos Aires, as officialized by the organization of the event. This is the first time that Buenos Aires will host this important award, which was previously held in Colombia, Mexico and Peru.

Chefs, restaurateurs, journalists, and gastronomes from all over the world will arrive in the Argentine capital to celebrate the prolific achievements and diversity of Latin American cuisine.

Attendees will be invited to various activities, including a welcome dinner; the series of discussions on culinary leadership # 50BestTalks, presented by Miele, at the Four Seasons Hotel Buenos Aires; and the annual Chefs' Feast on October 9. The three-day series of events culminates with the prestigious awards ceremony on October 10.

In the previous edition, Maido, the Nikkei restaurant of Peruvian Mitsuharu Tsumura, won the first place as "the best restaurant in Latin America", and the second place was obtained by Central, by Virgilio Martínez and Pía León.

Additional awards and prizes this year include the Sustainable Restaurant Award, the Chefs' Choice Award, sponsored by Estrella Damm, and the Latin America's Best Pastry Chef Award, sponsored by the Cocoa Republic.
