If you are visiting Guadalajara and have doubts about how to get around, try to reach the different tourist points using public transport.
Public transport routes to reach principal tourist attraction points
From the Historical Center, you can visit places such as Av. Chapultepec, the Minerva, the center of Zapopan, Tlaquepaque and Tonalá, starting from the junction of Juarez with Av. September 16 in the following bus routes:
In the direction of Mariano Otero, it takes you all along Juarez Avenue, passing through the Chapultepec area, the Expiatory Temple, Chapultepec Avenue, La Minerva and Plaza del Sol.

In the direction of the Air Base, it takes you through all of Juarez Avenue passing through the Chapultepec zone, the Expiatory Temple, Chapultepec Avenue, La Minerva, takes Vallarta through the Gran Plaza and continues to Av. Patria, passing through the Shopping Center Andares in the Financial zone.

This route in the direction of Zapopan takes you through all of Av. Alcalde, passing through the Museum of Journalism, the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Guadalupe, a few blocks away from Rehilete Alcalde Park and the Michin Aquarium, then take Av. Avila Camacho until you arrive to the municipal seat of Zapopan where the Basilica is located where you can take a tour.
In the direction of the Central Camionera, this route takes you to the two temples, take Av. Revolution crossing the old Guadalajara until arriving at Tlaquepaque, the Central Trucker Nueva and finally to Tonalá where crafts market is open on Thursday and Sunday .
This route in the direction of Tlaquepaque, passes through the two temples, then through the Agua Azul Park where the Paleontology Museum is located, arrives at Tlaquepaque and the New Truck Station.
In the direction of La Normal, it passes a few blocks from the Bethlehem Pantheon, Rehilete Alcalde Park and the Michin Aquarium.
From the Minerva Route 24 can take you to the municipal seat of Zapopan or in its other direction, for all Lopez Mateos Avenue, travel part of the Expo Zone, passing through Plaza del Sol to cross the South Periférico.
From Expo Guadalajara route 701 takes you to Chapultepec.
Another option of public transport that takes you from the North Peripheral to the South Peripheral is line 1 of the light rail and its line 2 runs through the downtown area, consult about its routes at https://www.siteur.gob.mx/.
In addition to public transportation, you can also take a taxi, use private transport applications, or tour the city by bicycle with the MiBici program.
