Guadalajara will have new professional basketball team

After two decades of absence, Guadalajara will once again have a professional basketball team after realizing the project of the Giants of Jalisco, a club that will be part of the Circuit of Basketball of the Pacific Coast (Cibacopa) from the next season.

The Giants of Jalisco will compete in one of the highest level basketball leagues in the country starting on March 15, when the 2019 season begins. It will be the dome of the Code Alcalde headquarters hosting the meetings of this team, the which will seek that the Jalisco return to the stands and live the passion that causes one of the most practiced sports in Mexico.

The board of the Giants of Jalisco will be formed by the emblematic former basketball player Oscar "Diablo" Castellanos as manager of academies and basic forces, while the chairman of the board will be Eduardo Isbaile Rizk. Arturo Gaxiola will serve as the sport director of this project.
