Undoubtedly, getting married in this tourist destination is the dream of many couples, sun, and beach lovers, so here we share with you the requirements and costs for a civil wedding in Cancun, both for Mexican couples or marriage between Mexicans and foreigners.

Requirements for marriages between Mexicans

Birth certificate of the bride and groom
CURP of both parties
Identification of the bride and groom and the four witnesses (INE or valid passport). Witnesses must be able to read and write
Prenuptial medical analysis and certificate (V.D.R.L., V.I.H., and RH) issued by a physician (signed, stamped, and with the professional license of both the physician and the chemist). This must be done on the date indicated by the window, 30 days of validity.
Protest letter of each of the contracting parties (granted by the registry).
If widowed or divorced, present the corresponding certificate.
Minors under 17 years of age cannot marry.
It is important to know that all the required documentation must be presented in original and copied.

Requirements for marriages between Mexicans and foreigners

Birth certificate of both parties. In the case of foreigners, it must be apostilled or legalized and translated into Spanish by an expert authorized by the Superior Court of Justice. If you do not have a birth certificate, only the passport will be used.
CURP (in case of being Mexican).
Identification of the contracting party and four witnesses (INE or valid passport).
If widowed or divorced, present the corresponding certificate.
A valid passport and legal stay.
Legal stay (if any).
Prenuptial medical analysis and certificate (V.D.R.L., V.I.H., and R.H.) by a doctor (signed, stamped, and with the professional license of both the doctor and the chemist). This must be done on the date indicated by the window, with 30 days of validity.
Protest letter of the contracting parties.

Costs and delivery of documents

Marriages between Mexicans need to present the corresponding documentation to the Civil Registry, except for the clinical analysis, at least two months before the probable date of the wedding.

Remember that you can go to the Oficialía of your preference without an appointment, to schedule the date of the wedding, however, to set aside the date, you must present the required documentation.

Usually, the ceremonies are held at the Civil Registry offices in Cancun, but some people choose to have it outside of them, so the cost is usually higher:
