With the removal of premises of the Cardboard and Toy Fair, the merchants of the Christmas Fair in Guadalajara are ready to sell their products allusive to the season. The Guadalajara City Hall confirmed that this year the tianguis del Jardín de El Refugio opened its doors with all the sanitary measures. It will be available until December 24 and they will be allowed to work from 10 am to 11 pm, every day. The address of the Christmas Fair is El Refugio, Federalismo Avenue, between Joaquin Angulo and Herrera and Cairo.

The president of the locations, Salvador Sáen, estimated that this year there will be around 400 stores. Last year 40 percent did not work because of the pandemic and the lack of resources to cover the permit. However, this year the City Council exempted the tenants from paying. The president is fulfilling a campaign promise not to charge the floor for the tianguis. In this place, you will find bows, gardenias, spheres, frost, a series of lights, clay nativity scenes, ornaments, and natural trees.

Protocols of the Christmas Fair in Guadalajara

The premises located in El Refugio Park will have to submit to strict sanitation protocols and visitors will have to pass the filters to enter. In the sanitary filters, the entrance of buyers will be regulated, the temperature will be taken, the correct use of masks will be supervised, these protectors will be provided to those who do not have one, and antibacterial gel will be distributed.

To guarantee the order and safety of the merchants and visitors as well as the compliance with the current municipal regulations for commerce, the work of different agencies such as Civil Protection and Firefighters, Public Lighting, Inspection and Surveillance, and the Municipal Police will be coordinated.
