Cancun is celebrating the Day of the Dead

To celebrate the Day of the Dead, the municipality of Puerto Juarez, in Cancun, has prepared a series of events for the inhabitants of the area and tourists visiting the Mexican Caribbean.

The Day of the Dead is approaching and to celebrate it, the municipality of Puerto Juarez, in Cancun, has prepared a series of events for the inhabitants of the area and tourists visiting the Mexican Caribbean.

Among the activities prepared for November 1 and 2 is the arrival of the catrinas on the beach, where a Mayan priest will perform a pre-Hispanic ritual. In addition, there will be a contest of altars of the dead, which will be framed with the gastronomic and handicraft sample of local merchants.

The artistic program also includes a parade, folkloric ballet, traditional dance, and mariachi music. The only requirement to participate in this celebration is to respect the sanitary rules by covid-19, the appointment is from 6:30 pm.
