Gay pride march announced in Cancun

The Collective Conciencia LGBT Mx announced for June 22 of this 2019, the gay pride march in Cancun, Quintana Roo, with which they seek the visibility of the issue in society, organizers said.

Miguel Ángel Dzib Miss said that the poster of the participants in the parade will be announced at the end of May because they did not want to rush and launch it now in the framework of the International Day Against Homophobia.

"What we are doing as young collectives, is to enhance the interest of the young community in general so that when the demand for rights is made we are nothing more than a group of 10 people, but a whole community," said the activist.

Among the public figures confirmed, Miguel Ángel Dzib Miss, announced to Ofelia Pastrana and the youtuber Tefy, in addition to other human rights activists that will be announced in coming days.

"This year we know that we will generate a lot more impact because we have special guests, for example, Ofelia Pastrana who is a well-known personality within the community, the Youtuber Tefy and other guests, both artists, and personalities who have fought the LGBT community".

In addition to the visibility of the issue in society, the group also seeks with the march, positioning Cancun as an inclusive destination, a pioneer in the struggle for community rights.

The march will be held on June 22 and in the next few days, concise information will be given on the routes and alternate events.
