Armed men assault hotel in Playa del Carmen and take more than a million and a half pesos


The events occurred last Saturday around noon when the alleged criminals entered the hotel facilities on motorcycles and dressed as workers

Two individuals on motorcycles entered the facilities of the Hotel Generations Riviera Maya, managing to flee with one million 658 thousand pesos from the payroll.

According to the reports, two people dressed in work vests entered the hotel aboard a maraca Italia green motorcycle and another yellow one from the same brand, who were armed and quickly took over the payroll.

After subjecting employees, the men achieved their goal and fled, leaving the motorcycles abandoned.

After they were alerted, a Municipal Police unit arrived as the first respondent; In addition, two elements of the Ministerial arrived, as well as federal police and experts.

Some employees who witnessed the events were interviewed at the site.

Narciso D. C., 39, who serves as administrator, says that he noticed everything, but that by the haste and nerves he could not notice the physical characteristics of the thieves. The same said the bricklayer named Bernardo G.G., 29 years old, originally from Chiapas.

It should be noted that Hotel Generations belongs to the Lomas Travel Group, a company that also owns the Nickelodeon Hotel (under construction), the El Dorado Hotels, the MayAir airline, the Lomastel telecommunications company, among others.
