The federal government's strategy of motivating tourists to spend more landed at the Xochimilco mayor's office and today it presented a mobile application for Android and IOS to inform about the prices of trajineras, events and fairs.
App launched to promote tourism in Xochimilco
For the application, between 850 thousand and one million pesos were invested, according to José Luis Zaldívar Olivares, general director of tourism and economic development of the mayor's office.
"We are looking for more knowledge of the events in Xochimilco and for services to be improved so that they come more and have more time to stay and that there is a greater economic benefit," he said as part of the presentation of the application to El Herald of Mexico.
Each year, according to the data of the mayor's office there are about 2 million visitors only to the trajineras.
This new digital application includes more than 400 parties and fairs, as well as the location of sites of interest such as markets, museums, historical monuments and jetties.
It will include the weekly billboard of concerts, exhibitions, conferences and other cultural events and through GPS you can see the maps that will serve as a guide for the tourist to reach the destination.
