He explained that up to 25 thousand new cases are diagnosed, "however, if this type of cancer is detected in early stages it is curable in more than 90% of cases, this cancer does not present any discomfort or specific manifestations, so from 50 years men should undergo preventive periodic studies.

Today there are advanced diagnostic techniques, such as multiparametric resonance, which allows doctors to identify, with this imaging study, suspicious lesions, which leads a specific biopsy to the area to confirm the diagnosis of cancer. of the prostate, "he said.

He mentioned that this and other new techniques for the diagnosis of cancer of the urinary tract, such as the prostate, aim to alleviate the increase in cases.

He specified that this theoretical course will be held on February 1 and 2 in the Medium Auditorium of the New Civil Hospital of Guadalajara Dr Juan I. Menchaca.
